The Galion High School tennis team placed fifth in the annual Jim Grandy Tennis Invitational held Saturday at Bucyrus High School. The invite featured doubles play only.

Victory Lanes in Galion hosted the PBA50 Sherry Bodkins Women’s Health Awareness Memorial Central Open March 29-31. The weekend featured a junior pro-am, adult pro-am, PBA senior qualifying and senior round robin match play. Galion splits doubleheader with Wynford

Galion’s Carson Frankhouse scored the winning run for the Tigers in a 3-2 victory over Wynford in game one of a doubleheader Saturday at Heise Park. In game two, the Royals handed the Tigers (5-1, 2-0) their first loss of the season by a score of 7-5.

Galion competes in Bucyrus Elks Invite

The Galion varsity boys and girls track teams both placed third in the the Bucyrus Elks Track Invitational held Saturday. On the boys side, the Tigers finished with 100.5 points, behind Oak Harbor (135) and Waynedale. On the girls side, the Tigers totaled 88 points, finishing behind Oak Harbor (126) and Waynedale (93).
